Arrival into Mexico City and getting to Tepoztlán

Please note that airport transportation between Mexico City Airport and your hotel will be arranged for you and is covered in your fiesta fee provided you arrive on September 18 by 3:00 pm and depart after noon on September 22. If you are not able to meet this requirement, please contact our transportation coordinator, Lisa Lichtig (lisalichtig@gmail.com) before making your reservation. If you travel outside of these dates, we’ll do our best to accommodate you; though it may require an additional fee of up to $100 USD, paid separately from the cost of the Fiesta.

Please try to make your flight reservations prior to registering, so you can fill in those details on your registration form. Otherwise email initiationfiesta2017@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Departure

A van or car will also be transporting you back to the Mexico City airport on Friday, September 22nd. It will depart Tepoztlán between 8:00am and 9:30am. Given that travelers are required to be at the airport 2 hours before their departure, please book your flight to depart NO EARLIER THAN 12:00pm on Friday, September 22nd. If you have a choice, later is better.

Exchanging Money

We strongly advise you to purchase pesos at your bank before you leave.

IMPORTANT

Check to make sure you have a valid passport for travel in September 2017. A visa is not needed. US citizens needing to renew their passport can visit http://www.travel.state.gov. UK citizens, please visit http://www.gov.uk/browse/abroad.

We encourage you to book your flight to arrive as early as possible to minimize potential travel-related problems.

Mara’akate and pilgrims should follow the guidelines for travel sent to you separately.
